First Person Plural

A small UK organisation led by people with firsthand experience of dissociative disorders It supports and informs people who experience dissociative disorders, their friends, family and professional allies; it encourages increased social recognition of dissociative disorders by health and social care professionals and enhances the general public’s understanding and acceptance of people who experience dissociative disorders including multiple personality disorder/dissociative identity disorder. It produces a quarterly newsletter, offers a members’ contact list and provides speakers and training.

Mosaic Minds

Mosaic Minds, Inc. is a primarily internet based organization founded in 1999 by a group of dissociative survivors of childhood trauma and their loved ones.

The Oxford Stress and Trauma Centre

An independent, private, non-NHS-based, psychological therapy service, which has been in existence since 1998. It offers specialist assessment and therapy for stress- and trauma-related problems such as caused by various forms of childhood sexual, emotional or physical abuse and ruptures of secure attachment.  Dr Claudia Herbert, the Director is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Trauma Expert, who works with specialist psychologists and psychotherapists in a holistic, mindful and integrative manner based on principles of Positive Psychology, There is Trauma-Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (T-CBP), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy (ST), Positive Growth Therapy (PGT), Sensory Motor Therapy (SMT), Calatonia, Integrative Body Psychotherapy and Energy Psychology.  The service also offers psychological Expert Witness work for cases of Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Family Law and offers a psychological mail-order book service to clients and therapists. Appointments for an initial assessment can be made directly with the service and do not require a GP referral.
